Attention

The additional financial assistance program for the 2025 California Wildfires is only for families with primary residences located inside the burn perimeter for the Palisades or Eaton fire. Please see the eligibility requirements below. Additional invites will be coming soon to eligible families via email or text. If you did not receive a message but think you may be eligible, please visit one of our enrollment sites April 29–May 13 to discuss in person with a Red Cross caseworker.

Overview

In early January 2025, the Palisades and Eaton wildfires destroyed homes and businesses and disrupted lives across Southern California. In addition to shelter, food, and comfort for disaster survivors, the American Red Cross also provided financial assistance to help people whose homes were severely impacted by the wildfires. The first phase of financial assistance has closed. The Red Cross will begin a second phase of financial assistance in April 2025 for people with homes located in the Palisades or Eaton Fire burn zones. These funds may help offset recovery-related costs, such as housing, essentials, or rebuilding needs.

Eligibility

The majority of households will receive an invitation to apply through an email, text message, or phone call if:

  • Their homes were confirmed to be within the Palisades or Eaton Fire burn perimeter.

  • The Red Cross has their contact information.

Those who believe they qualify can also apply in person at one of the enrollment locations listed below.
